Just to clarify, (not that what is written above is wrong),
For caltex,
Enjoy ADDITIONAL 7% off petrol on top of prevailing site discounts for month of March 2009, with OCBC Credit Cards.
(That is to say, Site discount 5% + OCBC 7% = 12% discount.)
No need to use SAFRA card if you have an OCBC credit card, so that you can enjoy Thanks! points.
If you use SAFRA card, (paying by cash, or other credit card), you also get 12% off, but no Thanks! Points.
Pls use your SAFRA card if you do not have an OCBC credit card, to enjoy 12%.
Plus, get an extra 3% rebate on petrol* from 1 March - 31 March 2009 at Caltex Service Stations in Singapore with your OCBC Credit Card.
Caltex people… more reasons to SMILE!

Hi Esso Discount:
From the DBS website, it seems to me its only applies Speedpass tied with DBS ESSO or DBS ESSO only. I am not due for my next top-up yet, so if someone did top-up with DBS ESSO maybe he could advice…
Support ESSO!!!!!

Hi Esso Discount,
It only applies to DBS Esso Card, POSB Everyday is a Master Card but not Esso’s. Thus no 7% discount.

I have a feeling that all the promotions and discounts is very confusing.
Of course, I like promotions and discounts too,
The marketing methods and style led to complication and confusing
consumer on the actual selling price of petrol
If not addressed promptly ; consumers will be the loser.

my friend from shell says the latest move, all these different discounts for different companies, is meant to confuse consumers into thinking there is some differentiation between companies, that they’re “competing”. look at the discount table, are you confused? i know i am. he says his office is chuckling already.
April 7th, 2009 at 11:31 pm
No worries hyun, though it’s confusing to look at all the discount, what I can say that anyone of those is providing more discount than Shell. So I’ll still give Shell a miss no matter what =)

I dun drive ferrari, so dun need v-power. Moreover they did not win the races, means v-power not competitive enough? Maybe we should ask what brand did BRAWN GP uses.
