crude oil still on below USD$73.00 and still go up by 3cents. what to do………. always go up, but go down so slow
August 26th, 2009 at 6:19 pm
Just yesterday went up by 5cents than now decrease by 2cents…
Dont understand what’s the petrol companies trying to do…
August 26th, 2009 at 6:33 pm
suka suka up and then now down.
we are at the mercy of them
August 26th, 2009 at 7:09 pm
The reason for the drop was partly because Shell only increased their prices by 3c, to stay competitive Caltex & Esso had to “drop” their prices. All else said, this truly is a classic case of a cartel at work.

SUper Bo Liao!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
August 26th, 2009 at 8:34 pm
Stupid cartel, they are really trying their luck here! In the end, no choice but to back down. I believe if one company stand firm and do not increase like SPC do, the others will have no choice but to back down on their increase. Only when the drivers all unite against any cartel work will all these stupid increase stopped. We should have a greater voice in regulating petrol prices! Customers have the right!

In Australia, every petrol station have their own prices which are regulated by consumers! The nearer the city, the petrol stations tend to be cheaper because of competitions. Our government should form independent regulators in tracking and rank all petrol stations in terms of their services and prices to help consumers decide. With better regulations n controls, I believe the cartels will not try to increase petrol prices just because of an increase in oil prices. Also if ALL the drivers are united to boycott any petrol stations that increase prices without reason, these mercenary cartels will have no choice but to back down. Just retink that every year they are earning billions of dollars even during econimic downturn makes me boil!

life is getting hard, im preparing for the hard ride. drivers getting impatient also, i experienced people driving faster and also more accidents happening.
August 26th, 2009 at 10:07 pm
driving at a safely speed will ensure that car dun over use petrol + safe trip too =D
August 26th, 2009 at 10:35 pm
Hey Annoy,
In Australia, the pump stations are privately own…but here each brand are managed by one central management.

Let’s just go to JB queue up patiencely and abandon the local petrol oil suckers for a while.
I’m sure they will feel the pinch!!
Recession, retrenchments, pay cut and even pay freeze!!
We shld let their profit drop as much as possible.

Aiyah. Caltex and Esso decrease bcoz SPC and Shell increase by 3 cents. So they had to reverse their price increase. End up still increase. We consumers still end up as slaves!
August 27th, 2009 at 9:22 am
Hi Guardian,
I am going JB tonite ard 9pm+.
U wanna join me?
August 27th, 2009 at 10:45 am

August 27th, 2009 at 11:38 am
Pity those poor drivers who topped up at Caltex & Esso before they drop 2 cents. If they wait a few hours more they would have saved.
August 27th, 2009 at 12:13 pm

All drivers unite and go to just 1 brand. The rest will feel the pain.
To win back customer the rest will lower the price.
Customer when push to the limit, is just like a cancerous tumor. One day it will kill the host (petrol companies). =)
