Maybe that why they are "cheaper" (ie more discounts) compared to the rest. For me personally, i feel the best quality is Shell. (maybe thats why they offer the least discount among all). In the past that may have been so, but I have read that nowadays, the ECU is “clever” enough to optimise the engine performance such that there will be little or no difference in terms of efficiency for the 2 oils.

In essence, nowadays we should read Ron 92 and Ron 95 as different specifications, not necessary grade of the fuel. This of course goes against what the big petrol companies want us to believe (because if we pump 95 when what our car really needs is only 92, they make the difference :) ). Personally I have tried 95 and 98 fuel with absolutely no difference in efficiency at all, haha..
