new law in Malaysia!
December 10th, 2009 at 4:22 am
that law i dun think apply to singapore car? Maybe apply to thailand car? imagine, if we go in 3/4 tank full, then must travel at least 200km to use up the petrol? really stupid law..
December 10th, 2009 at 9:15 am
Haha. Just heard the news. It also apply to all S’pore Cars as well. The terms of offence included confiscation of vehicle. So anybody want to try to go JB again?

So Singapore should remove the 3/4 tank rule then.
For example, my tank is 40L.
3/4 tank is 30L.
So i need to used 10L before coming back.
Which mean i need to travel 10KM.
Very Very Stupid….
December 10th, 2009 at 10:20 am
Haha. You guys still cannot get it…. They dun want foreign cars to pump their petrol whereas this is meant for local Malaysian. They give you only 20 litres to travel from custom checkpoint to another checkpoint. In this way, they wil able to maintain the price level so that local will not able to affected by petrol price anymore.
December 10th, 2009 at 12:25 pm
might as well ban Singapore car from pumping petrol within 50km radius, then no need to check or what..
also, if the tank have more than 20L, can tell them we have go to far away and just come back…
December 10th, 2009 at 1:26 pm
actually the policy to ban foreign car from pumping was implemented before but it was rescinded after two days of implementation. Now they tweak the policy to allow foreign car to pump but only 20 litres and upon custom checkout no more than 20 litres of petrol allowed. M’sia as a country do have a right to protect their own interest just like our govt does hence they can don’t care s’pore 3/4 tank rule just as long u dun exceed the 20 litres rule upon checkout of m’sia. we can hope that s’pore govt can abolish the 3/4 tank rule in view of m’sia new policy only. just that for those petrolwatch forumer who keep boasting or gloating on s’pore driver being stupid to pump locally will now have to eat the humble pie and pump locally liao. who win in the end? both s’pore govt and m’sia govt. s’pore petrol company earn more and m’sia govt save on fuel subsidy to s’porean. who suffers… just a small bunch of gloaters. that’s all.
December 10th, 2009 at 1:54 pm
I just pump 35 litre from JB leh… :p
they never catch me leh..
December 10th, 2009 at 2:08 pm
Hmmm… maybe they want more exotic car.. muahahaha…. Anyway I find the penalty paid on car seizure or confiscation is too much.
December 10th, 2009 at 2:08 pm
Hi tchekchuan, the new directive as mentioned by the m’sia minister said it would be implemented soon so currently it is still ok to pump as their new law not executed yet.
December 10th, 2009 at 2:57 pm
malaysian garmen real stupid. how they want to implement all their stupid ideas? read my explanation
20 litres petrol check on each car at check point
1. How to verify this? ask their officers to suck out all the petrol from the tank and then measure? then pour back into the tank?
2. If sg car drive in with 35 litres (0.75 tank rule in sg custom), they have to drive till their tank reach 20 litres b4 can go home? how many km is that? if u drive hybrid, u may have to drive to melaka then can come back.
max 20 litres of petrol at the pump
If i pump s-hell 20 litre then run to petron ass and pump another 20, how are they going to catch me? how can the stations communicate?
Sg garmen may not be very nice. but at least our scholars smart enough to used the 0.75 tank rule instead of the dumb 20 litre. at least implementing it is possible. those dumb my people just do not want to follow our simple method.
Stupid malaysia govt, u can join the american bankers and chinaman in club of people bashed by citiman
December 10th, 2009 at 2:59 pm
HI Ken,
ya.. i thought they implement liao cos i read yesterday news.. super sian, hope malaysia government will think thrice. With this, many shops in JB will be affected.
Thanks for your clarificaiotn ken.!
December 10th, 2009 at 4:12 pm
stupid policy……
wan to resolve, just implement all cars going - full tank.
December 10th, 2009 at 4:51 pm
Haha, dunch worry…. Talk and implement, later no ecnomic growth, no sales at JB, will abolish the “law” again..
Aiya, they love to implement laws then abolish one.

Crude Oil
$70.59 ?0.08 0.11%
3:59 AM EST - 2009.12.10
December 10th, 2009 at 6:24 pm
crude is now 70 ++ as long as our bloodsucking gahmen work to control our petrol gaints (also bloodsucking) we would not have to worry abt all this
if crude oil were to rise from 70 to 78.. they would def increase the pump price.. maybe by 10c… now that it drop.. why no decrease.. even decrease also only 5c nia.. KNN
December 10th, 2009 at 7:06 pm
they are using promotions or whatever shit to trick us lor… they would rather use promotion than to reduce pump price.
once pump price dropped, everyone benefit except them.
If they use promotion, NOT ALL CAN ENJOY especially smaller car group.
December 11th, 2009 at 8:42 am
hey you all cannot accuse SG garment never take care of us. Unlike other garment who only know how to take money from their pple only ($1). But our SG Garment is different, they take our money ($2)but still will give us back $0.50 (in forms of rebate and CPF topup). sorry my maths no good so doesn’t it ‘look’ like our SG Garment is much better than other garment? Man! I love SG.
December 11th, 2009 at 1:32 pm
eh. your comments flawed lah. give back 50 cents? from where? cpf top up? top up a lot ah? dun post garmen nonsense here lah.
so i might as well say singapore childbirth S$6k while malaysia RM$10. so what? malaysia looks after their people?
talk cock. go to hong lim and promote your garmen shit!
December 11th, 2009 at 3:49 pm
well in no time when the jb retailers start to kao peh saying sales dropped 50% or visitor counts dropped 30%… no tourist to boost local retailers.. they will banish the law and lan lan lure us back there to spend… look at the shopper mix at all the major shopping malls.. at least 70% of them are singaporeans… imagine all these ppl not going there to shop..
December 12th, 2009 at 10:55 pm
All I can say is to save the hassle and stop self drive to Malaysia for now. Its simply not worth it to have your car detained there just because you have more than 20 litres of fuel.
Other people impose biased restrictions against us. We don’t go loh… see who has the last laugh.
What to do?
December 12th, 2009 at 11:50 pm
i can imagine the faces of all the singapore petrol company’s bosses must be smiling gleefully now. if i am one of the bosses i will be laughing my way to the bank….
