Hey pple, anyone into accounting?
why does petrol stn have to give standard 5% discount?
does it mean they can say they lose revenue of 5% for the discount..
Scenario, I pump 1000 litres jus to make cal easier so it’d be $1807 worth of sales
after 5% discount, it is $1717, with a discount worth $90.
So I’d have to pay $1717 and See Hum takes $1717 from me.
THen when it comes to accounting, SEE HUm, my nett revenue minus the cost of giving 5 percent discount is 1717 - 90 = 1627. So tax on revenue on profit is reduced by 90 to 1627 right ?
PS : I know nuts abt accounting but this sure saves from being taxed!

December 29th, 2009 at 10:10 am
Sea hum management may be thinking since everyone spending $$ at year-end/post x’mas sale, why not also contribute $$ to them for their bonus.
