Petrol consists of a combination of hydrocarbons, C5H12 to C12H26 and is a mixture, it has no exact formula. However, the largest component of almost all commercial petrols is isooctane, which has the formula C8H18, and its isomers, which have the same formula.
Because of the "octane rating" used in motor fuel rating, many users think gasoline contains all octane C8H18, but it actually consists of a variety of volatile hydrocarbons from butane to benzene to toluene, and others.
All gasolines and diesels are formulated to meet performance criteria, not composition criteria - like wine tasting and blending, the same results can be reached with a number of different components.

slow mo

im not scientist
but what i understand water specific composition H20
buy which ever brand bottle non sparkling water is the same H20 ... no additional C02 in it... maybe few minerals and impurities in negligible quantity..(except New water...hehhehe)
Thats what I meant Petrol Chemical formula must be same .. i dont think you can change that unless u selling kerosene or bio fuel. ethanol blend.... maybe some additives in negligble quantities.. but basic petrol must be same
i dunno the formula
Maybe that is because im monkey...
Thank you intelligent soul for teaching me new things every day.

MJ,

Porsche is to Mobil as Ferrari is to Shell. Manufacturers do try and swing you to a particular brand.

There is brand, there is composition specification, and then there is finally price.

General population knows the price, they know the brand, but most would know nothing about the composition. Yet, these monkeys(like yourself leading the blind and then following other blinds) would still like to think all petrol/fuel is the same, without knowing the composition.

Coke or Tiger beer taste different elsewhere. That can be inferred that a brand means little to arriving at composition. The price also doesn't tell you composition, it tells you the price against only what is rated 95/98 RON dictated by law.

95/98 RON doesn't tell you composition. Compositions dictates ratings on SPECIFICATION, like RON in this case is merely and only ONE of the MANY specification. Still, what prevents engine knocks is not RON, but instead MON specification. Heard of it? If not, then open your brain first before your eyes, before your month.
