Shell giving away 400 points if u fill up 2x (30L per fill each time) before jan25,2011. Or 500 pts if 3x (30L per fill each time) fill by jan25,2011.

90 l/ month seems reasonable. so u should get 500 pts if u r a shell user
500pts * $10/600 pts =$8.33 savings in fuel
For me I pump 95 with 19.25% (some old voucher) discount at shell kembangan. $1.927/ l * 90 l * 0.8075 = $140.04
Additional savings = $8.33/140.04 = 5.9%
So all in all my total discount is more than 25%. Thanks for the info, iluvshell.

I wonder if Shell is having different terms for different users?
My letter from shell says :
1) Get 200 Bonus Points if u fill up 5 times wif any shell fuels b4 25 Jan 2011 (min. fill 20 litres),
2) Get 300 Bonus Points if u fill up 6 times wif any shell fuels b4 25 Jan 2011 (min fill 20 litres).

i think they calculate the minimum fill by average. cuz my letter said Get 200 Bonus Points if u fill up 5 times with any shell fuels before 25 Jan 2011 with minimum fill of 20 litres and 300 Bonus Points if u fill up 6 times with minimum of 20 litres. while my brother’s letter said 100 points if fill up 4 times or 200 points if fill up 5 times with minimum fill of 10 litres. he does not frequent shell often unless if it is urgent so perhaps that is why his minimum fill and points are lesser than mine.

yah I just got my letter too. 200 point for 2 x 30 liters of any fuel or 300 points for 3 x 30 liters of V-power.

pump shell maybe once in 6 weeks. but sometimes, whole 1 or 2 mths straight using shell.

Hi all,
Shell AMK Ave 6 offering discount booklet for the whole of 2011. They include 15% voucher. Min pump $50 only at shell amk ave 6. for those that pump $40 there is voucher can be used any part of the island. Also got Car wash discount in the booklet and & 7 Eleven items.
How to get it? Simply pump $50 at Shell AMK Ave 6. Then must ask the cashier for it. You dun ask then they act blur.

Call them and ask them how come got charge? i thought when i signed up, they say free? then if they dun waive the fee, you tell them dun want the card. so many other cards. Then they will waive for u. I tried many times with all the banks liao. UOB even offer me lifetime waiver.

@ecks07, thanks for posting the info regarding the shell discount booklet at AMK Ave 6. Got mine this evening! This assures me of at least 20% discount off my fuel bill for the whole of 2011.
Wonder if SPC Sengkang is gonna extend their promo for the whole of 2011 as well. That would really put me in a dilemma. Hahahaha…

Soli for late reply. Ya, the info was from the letter posted to me by SHELL. I guess differrent ppl for differrent deal. I have no idea how SHELL determine how many time and how many litre and what type of fuel we should fill.
I’m a best deal seeker and stop pumping at SHELL since Sep 10. This maybe the reason SHELL offer a better deal in order to lure me back

Just went to Shell AMK Ave 6. The idiotic counter girl said must pump at least $50 fuel to get the 2011 discount booklet. Saying the company got trace and if she just gives out without pumping or pump any amount less than $50, she will have to pay for the booklet.
Stupid reason, there are so many petrol station around, if you don’t give out booklet or with such high condition, people can just go pump anywhere convenient to them, and printing of booklet got what value. not as if they give out cash voucher with no term & condition. Really idiotic gal.
Shell Geylang also needs to pump $50? Thanks.

lol: first of all, there is no black and white stating that particular condition. Furthermore, the purpose of voucher is to attract more people to pump at this particular station, it is not as if they give out cash voucher without condition, then what is the purpose of restricting the distribution of this booklet?
I may sprout idiotic at a fit of anger and I apologize for that but I went down there to ask for it nicely, I can’t pump $50 as still have half tank left, so I said if pump anything less than $50, is it ok? She said no, come again next time. Then I ask her when is it going to stop giving out the booklet? she replied no fix date, while stock last. It is frustrating. That kind of condescending attitude. You go and face the music yourself then come and say. I am in service industry too and I know what is the right way to treat customers.
That’s why I want to know is it a stated rule and it is practiced in Shell Geylang as well or any other cashier. or she is just being creative herself.

Yes. They were still giving last weekend. I was informed that their booklet stock finished 2 days ago. Hence, they are not giving anymore…
