Hey dude,
thanks for the suggestions. We’ll have those buttons up shortly. As for the credit cards discounts, it’s currently in the final stages of production and should be up within the week. In the meantime, do check out some of the screenshots and let us know what you think, thanks! http://www.petrolwatch.com.sg/blogs/?p=88

LOL, now free membership.
See what happens when you start to get moneyface. Nobody needs a stupid membership ok!
PW is just a convenience, not a necessity. Get this straight in your bird brain, admin!
Now, back to free… back to basic… back to square one. HAHAHA

Hey PW
Never knew abt this website till this morn, coz of the crude oil drop to below USD120 (yeay!!), and i decided to google. Your site looks promising… thanks! Yep, a one-stop site showing petrol prices, card discounts, service stds… these kinds of comparisons… good for all of us.
Except I really dun understand one thing. Why do we even bother to compare petrol prices when all the diff cos. agree to tango with one another??!!! Where is that spirit of competition and competitiveness?? Competition is supposed to benefit the consumer… but all those times when i’ve bothered to check, Esso, Shell, etc. all charge the same.
We’ve been taken for a ride in our own cars with costly petrol that we paid for??!

Hey Winnie,
glad to be of service to you!
With regards to the price movement tango dance, we hear you sister! In Singapore, the only competition it seems is either between the additional discounts we can get with credit cards, or perhaps a more attractive loyalty points program. *Sigh*.
Well, for PW, our aim is to provide any kind of info which can help motorists reduce their costs of maintaining their vehicles. This will include price comparisons on car parks rates and stuff. Hopefully, this will at least enable you to make more estute and financially savvy decisions. Meanwhile, do let us know if there are any issues which you think would be useful for motorists that you would like us to cover.
BTW..pump prices just dropped! Hurray!!

I ran a web business which failed before and I fully empathised with some of the things which didnt go your way or rather the way you guys wanted PW to be.
Just remain positive in whatever you guys set this to be and make . Being niche is your asset so do what PW is best at and you have my full blessing that this revamp will be the next big thing to hit the web (at least “.sg ly”) since the more recent donut phenomenon.
If this is a free thingy, chances are you may have to tie down with key advertisers as your partners but please do not allow banners all over the sites as it may be too disturbing. If need to, allow only static banners by the side.
Good luck PWers!

Hey Ronnie,
thanks for the props. We’ve learned from our previous mistakes and hope to build a better product this time around. Not too sure about the donuts comparison but we hope to become something relevant and useful to Singaporean motorists at the end of the day.
On a separate note, do you have any future plans for your web business? Perhaps we can meet up for a quick chat to explore further? BTW, we run a web interactive agency as our day jobs!
