Average of 8% Reduction in Road Tax!

Posted by admin in News on July 12th, 2007
July 12th, 2007

Great news! Road tax prices are set to reduce on average by 8% come 1 September 2007! It was stated in the 2007 Budget Statement that road tax for vehicles in all categories will be reduced from 1 September 2007. This is in line with the Government’s approach to striking a better balance between the ownership and usage costs of a car.

From 9 July 2007, road tax renewal notices will reflect the new rates and vehicle owners will be asked to pay the new amounts accordingly. Vehicle owners who have paid their road tax before 9 July 2007 based on the current road tax rates, will have their excess amounts automatically offset from the next road tax they have to pay.
