Pump Prices Increase Again by 5 & 10 Cents - What’s New??!

Again! Again Again! As we head towards the end of June, the monthly trend continues with another increase of pump prices. As of 11 am on 25 June 2008, we can confirm that all 4 petrol brands have increased pump prices for petrol by 5 cents and pump prices for diesel by 10 cents in the following order:

Shell - 4 pm, 24 June 08
Caltex - 7 pm, 24 June 08
ExxonMobil - 8 pm, 24 June 08
SPC - 9 am, 25 June 08

Significant changes in prices are reflected in detail and can viewed in the tables below. You can check and calculate the nett prices (after discount) you can expect to pay for petrol with our "Savings Calculator" in our "Prices" section under the "Price Guru" tab.

Malaysia to increase petrol and diesel prices on 5 June!

Malaysia have announced that petrol price will rise 40% to 2.70 ringgit (0.84 dollars) a litre from Thursday

From 5 June 2008, the price of petrol will be raised by 78 sen and the price of diesel will be raised by 1.00 ringgit. This will bring the new price of petrol to RM2.70 while the new price of diesel will be RM2.50. Th current price of petrol is RM1.92 at the pumps.

Petrol Ban In M’Sia Starts on June 9!

Thats the end of buying cheap fuel across the border. It is confirmed that Malaysia will restrict petrol sales from its southern Johor state, a short distance from Singapore, from June 9 onwards. On a positive note, Malaysia have said that a fuel subsidy scheme will be announced in August 2008. Till then foreign registered vehicles will not be able to fill up their tanks within 50km of the border.
