Pump prices increase by 3 -7 cents

As of 8 May 2009 6pm, we can confirm that all 4 petrol companies have increased their petrol & diesel pump prices.

Here is the order of price movements:

  • Shell - 12pm
  • Caltex - 3pm
  • Exxon Mobil - 3.30pm
  • SPC - 4.30pm

Shell-Shocked!!!

On 11 Feb 2009, Shell takes the lead in increasing its petrol prices and decreasing its diesel prices.

It’s the Lunar New Year Season and I hope you haven’t spent too much on oranges and pomelons as now, you have to pay for more petrol! As of 2100 hrs on 29 Jan 2009, we can confirm that all 4 petrol companies have INCREASED petrol & DECREASED diesel pump prices for all grades in the following order:

Shell - 12pm
ExxonMobil - 2pm
Caltex - 3pm
SPC - 5.30pm

Groan! Pump prices increased by 5 cents…

Opposite to what many of us were expecting, pump prices have actually increased by 5 cents. Judging one of our member’s tipoff, it looks like Shell’s bucking the trend.

As most of the Petrolwatch crew are OOO, we’ll update the site shortly once we get further confirmation.
