Well, if this week is anything to go by, I would like to see this vision come true. We’ve had a hat trick of fuel discounts - First the 2 price reductions on 6 Aug 08 and now a 3rd discount just for the NDP weekend.

That’s right! The folks at SPC are offering an additional 3% discount for SPC & U members from 8 - 10 Aug 08. This means, you could possibly be saving up to 16% (Tier 4) and 13% (Tier 1) if you have a POSB Everyday credit card.

Pinch me silly or am I just dreaming? Well, apparently not!! Petrol & diesel pump prices have made a second reduction today by 1 cent.

So far, SHELL and SPC have reduced petrol and diesel prices by a total of 4 & 6 cents respectively today.

Petrol and diesel pump prices have dropped by 3 and 5 cents respectively in the following order:

- 10.30am: Caltex & ExxonMobil
- 11.00am: SPC

Unfortunately, Shell has not moved!

Here we go again! Just 3 weeks after the last increase, pump prices have risen again. At 10 am this morning, we can confirm that Caltex, SPC and Shell have increase pump prices for petrol and diesel by 5 cents. Expect ExxonMobil to follow suit soon. Caltex were the first to announce the increament @ 5pm on 22 Oct 2007. SPC and Shell announced increament @ 9am and 10am respectively on 23 Oct 2007. Shell and SPC have increased pump prices for petrol and diesel by $0.02. Shell increased prices at 9pm on 5 September 2007 and SPC increased prices at 8am on 6 September 2007. It’s SPC&U’s 2nd Birthday! From now till 30th September 2007, fill up at all SPC stations islandwide and you can get an EXTRA 3% discount with your SPC&U Petrol Card.

Notwithstanding the price adjustment, SPC is maintaining its promotional price discounts on motor gasoline and diesel.

Presently, the total package value proposition on all grades of SPC motor gasoline and diesel comprises tiered discounts offered through its SPC&U cards, and additional discounts and rebates from payments made through selected credit cards.
